2019 – 2020
E-learning Multimedia Specialist
The Learning Hook

The Learning Hook is a recognised leader in the e-learning industry producing high-quality custom-built e-learning for clients like Australia Post, News Corp, Energy Australia and many others. My job was to build and maintain the custom courses to create a personalised experience for the clients.

My role included:

  • Extensive jQuery programming
  • Using CSS and SASS to create responsive e-learning modules based off designs that were created in Photoshop and XD
  • Applying W3C accessibility guidelines, 2.0 through to AA
  • Extensive testing - so I know what typically breaks on websites and how to fix it
  • Coming up with ways to be more productive with limited resources

2018 – 2019
Front-End Developer
Gekko Creations

Gekko Creations provide world class event management. My role was to help create and maintain employee incentive websites for leading car and parts manufacturers like Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, and Hiab. Also, I created microsites to get employees excited about upcoming trips and adventures.

My role included:

  • Developing complex responsive webpages
  • Routine R&D on the latest web technologies
  • Collaborating with designers, developers and clients to create the best possible outcomes
  • Troubleshooting browser compatibility issues and how to work around them
  • Managing and prioritising multiple projects with pressing deadlines

2015 – 2017
Digital Designer
Learning Seat

Learning Seat is Australia’s leading producer of online compliance training. My role as a Digital Designer was to work with the Instructional Designers to design and produce custom courses that clients both love and remember.

My role included:

  • Catering for user ability levels and how to get the best experience for all users
  • Creating clean, precise multi-browser compatible code
  • Working extensively with Photoshop and Illustrator to create designs and graphical elements; working with designers to export assets from a design to use on a website
2008-2015
Multimedia Developer
C-Learning

C-Learning was a small business of less than 20 people that was making a big impact in the e-learning world. With clients of the likes of Ford, Honda and the Defence Department, C-Learning was punching above its weight and winning. The company was acquired by Learning Seat in 2015.

While working on my personal projects I picked up the following skills:

  • Use of APIs by using the Google Maps API
  • Validation of user input data and an understanding of SQL injection
  • Understanding of functions and arrow notation and how to use them effectively to minimise code duplication
